Dieter Untergasser


Dieter Untergasser is a veteran of VDA-DGHT Sachkunde GbR. He specializes in fish diseases and is an internationally sought-after expert. For more than 20 years, he has been working as an expert examiner in the area of aquaristics/stock market expertise and regularly carries out further training for holders of permits in accordance with Section 11 Animal Protection Act. He has been an employee of sera and for many years heads the “Fish Diseases” working group at the VDA. At Sachkunde GbR he acts as managing director for the aquarium and general administration division.



Oliver Witte


Oliver Witte has been practicing terrariums for over 40 years. His main area of interest is the area of “terrarism and law” and he regularly gives lectures and writes specialist articles on this topic. . For the DGHT he is as Vice President Terrariums (co-opted). Since 2018, he has also been the company's general counsel and managing director of VDA-DGHT Sachkunde GbR, where he is responsible for terrariums and general administration. He also acts as a QM representative and auditor.

For several years he has been working full-time as a trainer at an adult education facility. He is also a recognized trainer for zoo animal keepers (IHK Wuppertal).



Hans Alexander Bonsels


Hans Alexander Bonsels is a businessman and supports the VDA-DGHT Sachkunde GbR as an assistant to the management.

His tasks include, among other things, processing orders and general administrative tasks. He represents the management when necessary and supports the training of the expert examiners. He has been a passionate terrarian for many years and his particular interest is in poisonous snakes. He also works as an expert examiner in the field of terrariums.







Alina Bertram


Alina Bertram is a media designer for online and print media and works as an assistant to the management at VDA-DGHT Sachkunde GbR. In addition to general administrative tasks and representing the management when necessary, Alina will in future take care of the graphical preparation of the training documents. In addition, together with Oliver Witte, she is responsible for creating the certificates and supports the training of the expert examiners. She has also been an enthusiastic terrarian for over 10 years. In the DGHT it belongs as Specialist advisor for terrariums to the entire board. Alina Bertram is an examiner for terrariums.




Roman Astheimer


Roman Astheimer is an IT specialist and a member of the DGHT since 1984. He initially specialized in arboreal and European colubrids and began keeping monitor lizards 15 years ago. He is an expert examiner for terrariums and has been supporting the administration of VDA-DGHT Sachkunde GbR in the area of certificate creation since January 1st, 2024.

Our group of experts monitors and advises the management and employees of VDA-DGHT Sachkunde GbR on the creation of teaching materials and other matters where scientific aspects are necessary. The committee consists of scientists with many years of experience in the fields of zoology and veterinary medicine. In addition, all members of the expert group are expert examiners with many years of experience.
